NCPR takes cognisance of alleged sexual assault of minor girl in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 19 : Priyank Kanoongo, Chairperson, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPR) condemned the incident of alleged sexual harassment of a three-year-old girl on Wednesday and said the commission has taken cognisance of the matter.
Writing about the incident in a post on X, he said, "The incident of sexual abuse of a 3-year-old girl by a school employee Kasim Rehan, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh is highly condemnable. The Commission has taken cognisance of this."
He further mentioned that the matter has been discussed with the Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh State Child Commission over the phone, and appropriate action will be taken.
"The incident of sexual abuse of a 3-year-old girl by a school employee, Qasim Rehan, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, is highly condemnable. The Commission has taken cognizance of this," he added.
Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also condemned the sexual harassment case of a three-year-old girl by her school teacher, and ordered to take strict action against the accused.
CM Yadav posted a video on his official X handle on Wednesday and wrote, "A case of rape of a three-year-old girl by a school teacher in Bhopal has come to my notice. I have instructed to take strict action. Along with this, I will try to get the justice served in this case through a special court. This act is extremely disgusting, shameful, and condemnable."
"A case of rape of a three-year-old girl by her school teacher in Bhopal has come to my notice. The accused has been identified as Kasim Rehan, who was posted in the school. I condemned this incident, and have directed to take strict action into the matter. I have also instructed the chief secretary to try to hear the matter into a special court and serve justice," CM Yadav said in the video.
