Pune: Man gives leg massage to cop, police clarifies

Pune (Maharashtra) [India], June 2 : The traffic department of Pune police issued a clarification on Sunday after a video went viral on social media where a person was seen giving a leg massage to a police official sitting at the roadside.
A video that went viral claimed to be from Kalyani Nagar area and alleged that police personnel on Nakabandi Duty during a drink and drive campaign of Pune police had allegedly asked the unknown person to give him a leg massage as a punishment for violating traffic rules.
However, taking cognizance of the viral video, DCP Rohidas Pawar of the traffic department issued a statement stating that "PSI Gorade, age 57, Yerwada Traffic Division, was on duty for drunk n drive at Adlabs Chowk, Kalyaninagar. Due to continuing nights for 2 days and day duty, his sugar rose to 550. Hence, he had cramps in the leg, and he sat down suddenly on the ground. The person in the footage helped release cramps in the leg.
The police said that they are still verifying the facts before taking further action.
