550 industries, 65 thousand Cr investments making Gujarat’s Sanand a global biz hub

Sanand (Gujarat), Dec 26 (ANI): Standing as a beacon of industrial hub, Gujarat is set to enter its second decade of ‘glorious’ industrial development soon. 20 years ago, PM Modi (then Gujarat CM) started the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit’ in 2003 to transform the state’s production. The summit showed PM Modi’s commitment to bring development and prosperity to the villages of Gujarat. Reaping the benefits of the ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ summit, Gujarat’s Sanand received a total investment of 65 thousand Cr. Sanand Industrial Estate is home to more than 36 MNCs with more than 550 industries functioning in GIDC. Meanwhile, Sanand provides livelihood to some 35,000 workers who work in the industrial area.
