CM Gehlot directs to take strict against illegal mining

Jaipur (Rajasthan) July 22 (ANI): The State Government is serious to check illegal mining in the State. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot stressed this in a review meeting on the prevention of illegal mining at his residence in Jaipur. During the meeting, the CM directed all the District Superintendents of Police to plan and take strict action against the mining mafia without any pressure. He expressed that while ensuring the compliance of the law, the police should establish their faith so that fear is created among the illegal miners. CM Gehlot also directed to organise a meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary to ensure the prevention of illegal mining in future. He said that the District Superintendent of Police should identify the mining mafia and prepare a list and take action in a planned manner. He also said that the mining lease holders should not face any problems and the illegal miners should not be spared. The CM directed the Additional Chief Secretary, Mining to revise the fine amount on vehicles caught in illegal activities.
