J&K: Indian Army organises seminar on women empowerment in Baramulla

Baramulla (J&K), Nov 06 (ANI): Under the aegis of Headquarters Counter Insurgency Force (Kilo), the Indian Army organised a seminar on women empowerment ‘Nari-Shakti’ at Hyderbeigh Pattan in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. It aimed at creating awareness amongst the girls to understand their role in building society and ways to empower themselves to face modern-day challenges. It also aimed at educating them about various career options available along with necessary guidance to pursue them. Eminent figures including Mrs. Ishrat Tanki, Chairman of Firdous Educational Institute, Dr. Sehrish Asgar, Deputy Commissioner of Baramulla, and Ms. Hina Shafi Bhat, Vice Chairperson of KVIB, amongst others, attended the seminar. Nearly 200 girls and teachers from different schools and colleges attended the event. Some young achievers gave motivational speeches. Additionally, the audience also had the opportunity of informal interaction with the speakers. Top army officers also participated in the seminar.
