J&K: Indian Army organises special camp for specially-abled Gujjars, Bakarwals in Anantnag

Anantnag (J&K), January 18 (ANI): The Indian Army organised a special camp for the specially abled Gujjars and Bakerwals of South Kashmir on January 18. The local population praised the Indian Army for the event. 15 Corps Commander, Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, honoured the event as chief guest, with GOC Victor Force, DIG Police, SSP Anantnag, and other officers from both the police and army. Indian Army officials distributed lights, food, wheelchairs, and essentials at the event, prioritizing the needs of differently abled individuals. This gesture has resonated positively with the South Kashmir community, expressing gratitude for the Army’s efforts. Residents see such events as vital for bridging the gap between the Indian Army and the public, fostering unity and understanding.
