Meet nature-lover botanist in Pune who has been spending her life without electricity

Pune (Maharashtra), May 08 (ANI): Dr Hema Sane, a 79 years old woman based in Pune, in times of consumerism, does not believe in electronic appliances of even electricity. The reason behind not using electricity is her love for nature and environment. Dr Sane is a PHD holder in botany from Savitribai Phule University and she was even professor at Garware College for years. She lives in a small house in Budhwar Peth area of city. Her house is surrounded with different types of trees and bird nests. Chirping of birds is the natural alarm clock and fresh air surrounds her home. “These birds are my friends whenever I do my housework they come. People often ask me why you don’t sell this house you will get so much money, but I always say, what about these trees and birds. I dont want to go out I want to stay with them,” said Dr Sane.
