Dhaka (Bangladesh), Sep 4 (ANI): On the eve of her four-day visit to India, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina revealed that she was once a secret resident of Delhi's posh Pandara Road, where she lived with her children under an assumed identity trying to escape the attention of those who assassinated her father Sheikh Mujibur Rehman. Nearly five decades later, Hasina, in an emotional television interview with ANI, opened up about the piercing traumas that haunted her for decades. She said, “1971, when the war started my father was arrested, my mother was in custody and I was expecting the first baby but I thank the Indian government. People supported our war of liberation, not only supported they also gave shelter to our refugees. Then comes 1975, it was so suddenly it happened. Only 15 days ago, my sister and myself left the country. I went to Germany and my husband was the nuclear scientist.”
