Agartala (Tripura), September 8 (ANI): In a significant move to bolster road safety and improve traffic management in Tripura, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated a grand program organized by the state's transport department today at Swami Vivekananda Maidan, Agartala. The event witnessed the distribution of 16 vehicles aimed at ensuring road safety and enhancing transportation facilities across the state. During the event, two important booklets were released. The first focused on road safety and accident prevention, while the second provided a comprehensive guide on common traffic rules and guidelines for the public. The initiative is part of the government’s commitment to reducing road accidents and promoting traffic awareness.In a gesture toward responsible journalism, helmets were distributed to journalists, symbolizing the state's focus on safety for all road users, including media personnel. Additionally, a special driving training program for women was launched, aimed at empowering women and encouraging safe driving practices.Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumder and hundreds of common citizens joined the Chief Minister in witnessing the program.
