Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], February 24 : Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief Jitu Patwari has taken a potshot at the Mohan Yadav-led state government alleging the number of crimes committed in the last two months is the highest that occurred in the last 25 years of State's history.
"I have requested Chief Minister Mohan Yadav several times through letters, media persons and my X handle that he cannot manage two posts simultaneously i.e. Chief Minister and Home Minister. CM Yadav, you should manage only one post. The number of crimes committed in the last two months is the highest in the last 25 years," the Congress leader said.
Patwari made the allegations while addressing a press conference at the MPCC office in the state capital Bhopal on Saturday.
"Today the headlines in the newspapers are that a robbery happened in Indore. Robbery never used to happen in Indore but such an incident happened. A few days ago, a case of tribal assault came to light in Betul and many other incidents occurred after Mohan Yadav became the Chief Minister. If most crimes have taken place in the last 25 years in the state, it occurred during the last two months of Mohan Yadav's government," Patwari alleged.
The Congress leader has further alleged that illegal collection is going on at border toll points in the state. Crime and corruption are continuously increasing in the state. He also revealed the amount being collected at the border check toll points in the state.
"A separate agency has arrived at the ministry which is engaged in transfers and postings of the officials in the state and managing the deal. Along with this, the Mohan Yadav government has taken a loan of Rs 14500 crores in just 73 days of the new government," he claimed.
Patwari also said, "Former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan was 'mama' of lies and unemployment while CM Mohan Yadav is 'kaka' of crime, loan and corruption. I request CM Yadav, if you are taking loans then give Rs 2700 a quintal to farmers on wheat purchase, Rs 3000 a month to Ladli Bahna, Rs 3100 a quintal on paddy purchase and provide LPG at Rs 450. Fulfil the promise you have made during the election."
