गुजरात पुलिस अपनी सुरक्षा क्षमता को मजबूत करने के लिए अत्याधुनिक तकनीक से प्रशिक्षित K9 ‘सुपर डॉग्स’ को तैनात कर रही है। करीब 200 कुत्तों को रिवॉर्ड आधारित और तकनीक-आधारित प्रशिक्षण दिया गया है, जिससे उनकी दक्षता और सटीकता बढ़ी है। ये डॉग्स हमला करने और विस्फोटकों का पता लगाने जैसे दोहरे कार्यों के लिए प्रशिक्षित हैं और कमांडो टीम के साथ मिलकर हाई-रिस्क ऑपरेशन में अहम भूमिका निभाते हैं। नारकोटिक्स और ट्रैकर डॉग्स अपराध सुलझाने और ड्रग्स पकड़ने में मदद कर रहे हैं, जबकि पहली बार शराब पहचानने वाले डॉग्स भी शामिल किए गए हैं। K9 यूनिट ने ब्रीडिंग प्रोग्राम शुरू कर लागत घटाई है और रिटायर्ड डॉग्स के लिए विशेष देखभाल सुविधा भी बनाई है, जिससे पुलिसिंग और मजबूत हुई है।
