New Delhi [India], July 28 : Congress leader Deepak Babaria expressed his anguish over the deaths of three students following flooding in a coaching centre in Delhi's Old Rajinder Nagar on Saturday evening. He alleged that the fight between the AAP and BJP has ruined Delhi.
Babaria said, "The incident is unfortunate. Students come here to make their career and just to save some money, their lives are put at stake. To save some money, places like the basement are searched. The people who are accused are overlooked by AAP and BJP leaders. The fight between the AAP and BJP has ruined Delhi."
On the allegations of a deal between the coaching centre owner and Delhi government he said that BJP had no right to blame the AAP, as in BJP-ruled states similar mishaps were taking place.
"I agree there may be corruption involved but the BJP has no right to blame the AAP, as in BJP-ruled states similar mishaps are taking place," he added.
Earlier, Delhi police on Sunday arrested two persons, the owner and coordinator of the IAS coaching centre, where three students lost their lives after the basement of the institute was filled with water.
"The owner and coordinator of the coaching centre are arrested," said Delhi Police.
The police identified the victims of the coaching centre incident as Shreya Yadav, a native of Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, Tanya Soni from Telangana; and Nivin Dalwin, a resident of Kerala's Ernakulam, DCP Central M Harshavardhan told ANI.
