MP cabinet grants administrative approval for several construction works, 279 posts for jails across state

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 7 : Madhya Pradesh Cabinet on Wednesday granted administrative approval for several construction works and creation of 279 posts for jails across the state.
A proposal in this regard was tabled before the cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of CM Mohan Yadav at Mantralaya in Bhopal on Wednesday, and the council of ministers approved it unanimously.
"The Cabinet granted administrative approval of Rs 73.44 crores for the construction of residential houses in Burhanpur Jail and creation of 60 posts, Rs 19.44 crores and creation of 33 posts for the construction of residential houses of Sub Jail Mauganj, regarding upgradation, construction of a new jail under the re-densification scheme of Sub Jail Maihar, creation of 33 additional posts, creation of 60 posts in District Jail Anuppur, creation of 31 posts in Sub Jail Teonthar, creation of 31 posts in Sub Jail Badnagar and creation of 31 posts in Sub Jail Gairatganj," stated an official release.
The council of ministers also approved to start two new branches Civil and Mechanical in Government Polytechnic College, Rewa and creation of required posts for the same.
"The cabinet approved starting two new branches Civil and Mechanical in Government Polytechnic College, Rewa. With the opening of these branches, the students of Rewa region will get the benefit of technical employment-oriented education. In Government Polytechnic College, Rewa, the Fire Technology and Safety Branch will be kept as it is with the present designation. Financial provision for expected recurring / non-recurring expenditure of approximately Rs 592 lakh was approved," the release read.
The state cabinet further approved creation of 47 new posts and formation of PMU (Project Management Unit) by restructuring the Directorate of Financial Management Information System under the Finance Department.
"The council of ministers approved the restructuring of the Directorate of Financial Management Information System under the Finance Department, the creation of 47 new posts, the amendment in rules, and the formation of (the PMU) Project Management Unit. This decision will further improve the quality and accuracy of the financial management of the state," it added.
The Cabinet further approved a hike in the amount given for the last rites of Loktantra Senanis (MISA prisoner, who were detained under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act) from Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 and their cremation with state honours.
