UP Police arrests man for posting malicious content on Ram Temple, Babri Masjid

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 3 : The Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested the person who posted malicious and inflammatory content on social media on the Ram Temple and the erstwhile Babri Masjid in Ayodhya, a press note issued by the Uttar Pradesh police said.
During cyber patrolling, it came to light that a malicious and inflammatory post by the ID @jibranMakrani1 saying, "Be prepared, Babri Masjid is also ours and will remain ours".
It is clear from the post that this has been done with the aim of disturbing communal harmony, increasing religious disharmony and spreading religious fanaticism, the press note said.
It was found that this ID was operated by one, Jibran Makrani, son of Israr Makrani, resident of Jhansi, the Uttar Pradesh ATS said. Jibrani was called to the ATS field unit, Jhansi office for questioning.
When inquired about the post, Jibran said that he had posted this with the intention that Babri Masjid should be avenged and the Muslim brothers should destroy the Ram temple, like their elders. This post was however deleted later by Jibran to avoid police action, the press note said.
When Jibran's mobile phone data was accessed by the ATS, screenshots of the posts made by other users were found on his phone which included those supporting Hamas terror attack on Israel and those in support of the Popular Front of India (PFI).
In view of the proposed Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Ayodhya idol installation (Pran Pratishtha) and temple inauguration program of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi on January 22, the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) is keeping a vigilant eye on various social media platforms, the press note said.
