Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], November 6 : After a 40-year old Prathima was found dead with her throat slit, Karnataka police on Monday said that after investigating all angles in the case, the police developed a suspicion on the driver.
Prathima was working as a senior geologist with the Department of Mines and Geology. She was found dead with her throat slit in the Gokula Badavane area of Bengaluru on Sunday morning.
The murder came to light when the brother of the deceased called her and when he got no response he went to her house and found her dead with her throat slit.
Rahul Kumar Shahapurwad, DCP South Division, Bengaluru said, "After investigating all angles, we developed a suspicion on the driver. He confessed that he had done this (murder) and on further questioning, he said that for the last eight years, he was working on a contract basis. He had a problem when he was fired suddenly. When he went to plead with her again, she denied it. Hence, he murdered her."
