Ajmer (Rajasthan) [India], September 25 : A local court in Ajmer will hear a petition regarding the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Garib Nawaz in Ajmer on Wednesday.
The petition demands the right to worship and calls for the removal of encroachments, along with a request for a survey of the area by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
A lawsuit has been filed in a local court requesting permission to declare the shrine complex of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti in Ajmer as the Temple of Bhagwan Sankat Mochan Mahadev and to allow worship there.
This came amidst the claims of unauthorized occupation by the Dargah committee. The lawsuit also requests a complete survey of the shrine's premises by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
The National President of Hindu Seva, Vishnu Gupta, a resident of Sarita Vihar, has filed a petition in the Ajmer court through lawyer Shashi Ranjan Kumar Singh.
In his petition, he states that he is a guardian of the Temple of Bhagwan Sankat Mochan Mahadev. Under Section 75 of the Civil Procedure Code, the Dargah Committee, the Ministry of Minority Affairs, and the Archaeological Survey of India have been made respondents in the case.
