"All 13 Panch of Nirmohi Akhara to attend Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya": Mahant Dinendra Das
Jan 16, 2024
Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 16 : Mahant Dinendra Das of the Nirmohi Akhara on Tuesday said that all 13 'Panch' of the prominent Akhara will attend the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22.
The Ayodhya Baithak Chief of Nirmohi Akhara said that the claims that the Akhara is not happy with the rituals in the temple town are "false".
"Anyone can say whatever they want. Our Akhara has gotten the invitation. Everyone is satisfied and everyone is going to attend. All of this (the news of not being happy) is false," Das told ANI.
The priest's statement came after Congress leader Digvijaya Singh asked whether Nirmohi Akhara, who was one of the main plaintiffs in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid Title suits, has been extended an invitation to the grand event later this month.
Taking to social media platform, X, Singh wrote, "The temple will be built there". Now why not build it there? When the Supreme Court gave the disputed land to the Trust? Only Champat Rai ji of @VHPDigital or @narendramodi ji can answer this. My sympathies are with the families of the volunteers who were killed in the temple construction movement and those against whom criminal cases were filed in the court. What were they invited to? What did you invite the people of Nirmohi Akhara, who fought for Ram Janmabhoomi for 175 years, who fought in the court? Their worship rights were also snatched away and given to the selected volunteers of VHP's Champat Rai. Is this Raj Dharma? Is this Ram Raj?"
Responding to it, Das said, "Every 'Mahatma' and political leaders are being invited on behalf of our trust... There are 13 'panch' in the Akhara currently. All of them have been invited. Other saints of the Akhara have also been invited and everyone is coming too..."
He said, "Sarpanch Mahant Raja Ramchandrachraya, Sarpanch Mahant Narsingh Das, Panch Mahant Ghanshyam Das, Panch Mahant Samrat Das, Panch Sitaram Das, Panch Madan Mohan Das, Panch Mahant Ramswaroop Das, Mahant Jagdish Das, Mahant Radhe Radhe, Mahant Ram Manohar Das, Mahant Bhagwan Das (Sringari) and Mahant Ram Sewak Das have been invited."
The 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram Temple will be held on January 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla at the grand temple on that day. Meanwhile, the rituals started today and will continue for seven days.
Thousands of VIP guests have received invitations from the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for the ceremony.
The Trust has made elaborate arrangements to welcome and honor all attendees, presenting them with gifts that include 'Ram Raj.' As part of the celebration, Teerth Kshetra Trust will also distribute special 'Motichoor laddus' made from desi ghee as 'Prasad' to the guests.
A member of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust shared that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, set to attend the event, will be presented with a 15-meter picture of the Ram temple enclosed in a jute bag featuring an image of the sacred structure.
More than 11,000 guests nationwide have received invitations from the Trust for the Pran Pratistha ceremony, with special arrangements underway to provide memorable gifts to all attendees. According to a Trust member, the revered Ram Raj soil excavated from the temple will be bestowed upon the guests, serving as a cherished memento.
This sacred gift can be used in home gardens or pots, adding a touch of divinity to their homes. Even those unable to attend the Pran Pratishtha program may receive this meaningful gift in the future.
A team of priests led by Lakshmikant Dixit will perform the main rituals of the Pran Prathistha.
