Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], November 1 : Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Wednesday said that the Uttar Pradesh government has made all the arrangements for the prevention of dengue.
Brajesh Pathak said, "We have made all the arrangements for the prevention of dengue. Medicines are available, and blood is also available in sufficient amounts. We have given the direction to admit all the patients and treat them."
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on October 19, held a high-level meeting at his official residence and reviewed the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, the status of medical colleges under construction, and efforts being made for the prevention of dengue.
"There has been a rise in dengue cases recently, particularly in Moradabad, Kanpur Nagar, Lucknow, and Gautam Buddha Nagar. Efforts should be made to prevent the emergence of hotspot situations in any area. Additional beds should be arranged in hospitals as per requirements. Whether in villages or cities, not a single infected patient should suffer due to a lack of treatment. There must be regular reporting of new patients in all government and private hospitals and medical colleges," CM Yogi said.
He further emphasized on fogging and spraying methods to control mosquito populations.
"Concrete efforts are necessary to control the situation of outbreaks in the districts. The Urban Development, Rural Development, and Panchayati Raj Departments should carry out fogging and larvicidal spraying to effectively control mosquito populations. Consistent sanitization in the mornings and fogging in the evenings should be done," he added.
CM Yogi also said that the Ayushman card must be made for every family eligible for the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
"The state government has adopted the policy of PPP mode for setting up medical colleges in unserved districts. Under this, work has started in Shamli, Mau, Maharajganj, and Sambhal whereas for Baghpat, Mainpuri, Kasganj, Mahoba, Hamirpur, and Hathras, approval has been received from the Government of India under Viability Gap Funding. Work should be started everywhere soon," Yogi Adityanath said.
