Amit Shah congratulates Delhi Police, Gujarat Police for series of successful operations in seizing drugs

New Delhi [India], October 14 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday congratulated the Delhi Police and Gujarat Police for the series of successful operations in seizing drugs and said that the centre is committed to building a drug-free India by protecting youth from the scourge of drugs.
"I congratulate Delhi Police for the series of successful operations seizing drugs worth Rs 13,000 crore, including the recent one with Gujarat Police recovering cocaine worth Rs 5,000 crore. The hunt against drugs and narco trade will continue with no laxity," Shah posted on X.
"The Modi government is committed to building a drug-free Bharat by protecting our youth from the scourge of drugs," he added.
According to Delhi Police, under the Drug Free India campaign So far in the month of October, the force has seized 1,289 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic Thailand marijuana worth Rs 13,000 crore.
On October 13, Delhi Police and Gujarat Police carried out a joint operation and seized 518 kilograms of cocaine worth Rs 5,000 crore.
Cocaine was recovered during a search of Avkar Drugs Limited Company in Ankleshwar, Gujarat.
Earlier, on October 1 Special Cell of Delhi Police raided the warehouse of a person named Tushar Goyal in Mahipalpur and seized a consignment of 562-kilogram cocaine and 40-kilogram hydroponic marijuana.
During the investigation, on October 10 about 208 kilogram of additional cocaine was recovered from a shop in Ramesh Nagar, Delhi.
During the investigation, it was found that the recovered drug belonged to a company named Pharma Solution Services and it came from Avkar Drugs Limited Company of Ankleshwar, Gujarat.
A total of 1,289 kilogram of cocaine and 40 kilogram of hydroponic Thailand marijuana have been recovered in this case so far, which is worth Rs 13,000 crore.
