As mosques remain closed, people offer namaaz at home in Hyderabad

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 25 : With all mosques remained closed following Centre's COVID-19 guidelines, people across the country offered Eid-Ul-Fitr 'namaaz' with their loved ones at home and prayed for the well being of their fellow countrymen.
"All mosques are closed. This time nothing looks like Eid. All the people are celebrating Eid at home. It has also been told in our Islam that if there is a danger to life or if there are health issues, you can offer namaz at home," Mohammad Qasmi said.
All places of worship are closed for public amid lockdown as per government guidelines. "All religious places or places of worship shall be closed for public. Religious congregations are strictly prohibited," the MHA guidelines state.
Eid-ul-Fitr marks the conclusion of the holy month of Ramzan, which is a month of fasting and prayer for the Muslim community.
This year, Eid is being celebrated amid a nationwide lockdown imposed as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of COVID-19.
