Oct 30, 2023

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], October 30 : BJP MP Ramcharan Bohra slammed Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot on Monday and questioned why he was apprehensive if his son Vaibhav Gehlot was summoned in the FEMA case, asserting he would lose in Rajasthan in the upcoming elections.
MP Ramcharan Bohra said, "ED is an independent body and it has the right to conduct searches if they get any clue. The way Ashok Gehlot has announced himself to be 'kangaal', then what is he scared about? Ashok Gehlot government is losing in Rajasthan in the upcoming elections."
Meanwhile, former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje attacked Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi alleging that they would never keep the promised they make.
"A few days ago Priyanka Gandhi visited here. During her visit, she expressed her concern towards women....If they (Rajasthan govt) had extended the 'Nari Shakti' scheme it would have benefitted the women. Whenever she and her brother visit, they promise something to the people of Rajasthan but it's not necessary that they will keep their promise....Loans of farmers have not been waived even after 5 years...Due to crimes against women, people fear for the women in their families" Vasundhara Raje said during a rally.
Earlier, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot's son Vaibhav Gehlot appeared before the ED in Delhi for questioning in connection with the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) case on Monday.
Earlier, attacking the Central government on recent ED raids in poll-bound Rajasthan, CM Gehlot said that the National Democratic Alliance government is "doing a crime" and the country "will never forgive them".
"The NDA govt is doing a crime and the country will never forgive them...election is going on, ED keeps showing up at the houses of party leaders, keeping them (opposition leaders) busy throughout the day. BJP people are freely fighting the elections, whereas Congress leaders are being sent notices...," CM Gehlot had said.
Polling for all 200 seats in the Rajasthan Assembly will be held on November 25 and the counting of votes will be held on December 3.
