Assam CM Sarma holds meeting with surrendered leaders of NDFB

Guwahati (Assam) [India], September 22 : Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday held a meeting with the surrendered leaders of the National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) to deliberate on key issues concerning employment and socio-economic development.
The discussions also focused on reviewing the government's initiatives aimed at empowering the surrendered NDFB members and ensuring their self-reliance, with the objective of further enhancing the economic well-being of those who have rejoined the mainstream.
The Chief Minister also held a meeting with the leaders of the All Bodo Students Union to review the progress of the Bodo Peace Accord 2020.
During the meeting, the Assam Chief Minister had a detailed discussion on the implementation of various clauses of the Accord.
The Assam Chief Minister wrote on X, "Met a delegation of All Bodo Students Union & reaffirmed our Govt's commitment on the implementation of the Bodo Accord in letter and spirit. We recollect Adarniya Modi ji's efforts in ending the long standing conflict in BTR in 2020."
The Bodo Peace Accord was signed on 27 January 2020 between the Government of India, the Government of Assam and the representatives of the Bodo groups, bringing peace to Bodoland.
