"Batters needed to finish": Bangladesh captain Nigar after losing low scoring thriller against India

Dhaka [Bangladesh], July 11 : After losing a low-scoring thriller match against India, Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana Joty was disappointed with the batting unit who failed to chase down 95 run target.
Shafali Verma's three wickets in the last over provided India with an improbable win against Bangladesh in the second T20I of the three-match series here at Shere Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday.
In the post-match presentation, Nigar Sultana said that the Bangladesh bowlers did a great job by restricting India below 100 runs but the batters needed to finish the game which they failed to do.
"Keeping India below 100 is a wonderful job by the bowlers. The batters needed to finish it. Including me I should have ended the game. We did not get the start we wanted and in cricket we should move on and look forward to the next game. She is under treatment and I wish we will get her for the next match [on Mostary]," the Bangladesh skipper said.
Chasing the low target of 96 runs, Bangladesh’s captain Nigar Sultana took the responsibility to steer the innings after Bangladesh lost early wickets. However, After her dismissal, Bangladesh’s batting succumbed to India's bowling attack and was bundled out at 87.
Nigar scored 38 off 55. She was the only batter who could touch double digits.
Shafali took three wickets conceding 15 runs. Deepti Sharma also joined the party by taking three wickets and conceding 12 runs. Minnu Mani dismissed two batters, giving away only nine runs and Bareddy Anusha also got one scalp in the match
Elected to bat first India's batting struggled against Bangladesh bowlers as they managed to post only 95/8.
Sultana Khatun was the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh. She took three scalps by conceding 21 runs. Fahima Khatun picked two wickets. Marufa Akter, Nahida Akter and Rabeya Khatun took one wicket each.
