Bihar CM condoles deaths of seven persons due to lightning, announces financial aid of Rs 4 lakh each

Patna (Bihar) [India], July 1 : After seven people lost their lives due to lightning in six districts in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed his condolences and announced financial aid of Rs 4 lakh each to the dependents of the deceased.
In a press release by the state government, the Chief Minister expressed deep condolences on the death of seven people due to lightning in six districts of the state from June 30 to the evening of July 1.
"The Chief Minister directed to give immediate ex-gratia grant of Rs 4 lakh each to the dependents of the deceased. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed deep condolences on the death of two people in Aurangabad, one in Buxar, one in Bhojpur, one in Rohtas, one in Bhagalpur and one in Darbhanga due to lightning from yesterday till today evening," the press release said.
Nitish Kumar also said that he is with the affected families in this hour of disaster. "The Chief Minister has given instructions to immediately give an ex-gratia grant of Rs 4 lakh each to the family of the deceased," the release added.
The Chief Minister has appealed to the people to exercise full caution during bad weather. In case of bad weather, follow the suggestions issued from time to time by the Disaster Management Department to protect yourself from lightning. Stay home and stay safe during bad weather, the release said.
The CM also took to his official X handle and posted, "It is sad that two people died in Aurangabad, one in Buxar, one in Bhojpur, one in Rohtas, one in Bhagalpur and one in Darbhanga due to lightning. Deep condolences to the bereaved families. Rs 4 lakh each will be given as ex-gratia to the families of the deceased."
Urging people to remain cautious, Kumar added, "People are appealed to be very cautious during bad weather. Follow the suggestions issued from time to time by the Disaster Management Department. Stay indoors during bad weather and stay safe."
