Bihar: MP CM Mohan Yadav visits Mahabodhi Temple

Gaya (Bihar) [India], May 23 : Amidst preparations for the grand celebrations of Lord Buddha's birth anniversary, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mohan Yadav visited the UNESCO World Heritage site Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, along with his family, on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media persons, CM Mohan Yadav remarked, "Around 2,500 years ago, Lord Buddha attained enlightenment on this land. Today, I came here with my family, and I am so grateful to worship at the Mahabodhi Temple. His teachings on maintaining peace and spreading happiness are invaluable."
He added, "I was heading to Azamgarh for a rally but managed to find some time in my schedule to visit the Mahabodhi Temple and Gaya."
CM Yadav also expressed his gratitude to the residents and party workers of the state who welcomed and supported him during his visit. He urged voters in the state to cast their votes in the remaining phases of the elections, regardless of party or candidate, to exercise their democratic power.
In his address, he praised Prime Minister Modi, stating that PM Modi's great work is the reason why he is immensely liked by people.
Buddha Purnima is the most significant day for the Buddhist community as it commemorates the three crucial events in Buddha's life: his birth, enlightenment, and Mahaparinirvana.
