BJP candidate from Julana Captain Yogesh Bairagi appeals for support ahead of Haryana Assembly elections

Julana (Haryana) [India], September 11 : BJP candidate from Julana Captain Yogesh Bairagi for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the senior leadership of the party for placing trust in him.
Bairagi, who has been fielded against former wrestler Vinesh Phogat from Julana, appealed to the people of his constituency to place their trust in him.
On September 6, Olympian wrestler Vinesh joined the Congress.
"I want to express my gratitude to the senior leadership of the party for showing trust in me," Bairagi said, adding that "The Congress candidate (Vinesh Phogat) is also like our sister and till the time she played she made the country proud. We will work hard so that BJP wins. I appeal to the people of my constituency to show trust in me. The model with which I will work there will be a model of development."
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday released its second list of 21 candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections.
According to the second list of the BJP, the party has fielded Captain Yogesh Bairagi against Congress candidate Vinesh Poghat from the Julana Assembly seat.
The party has decided to field Pawan Saini from Naraingarh, Jai Bhagwan Sharma from Pehowa, Satpal Jamba from Pundri, Yogendra Rana from Assandh, Devender Kaushik from Ganaur, Krishna Gahlawat from Rai, Pradeep Sangwan Baroda, Captain Yogesh Bairagi from Julana, Krishna Kumar Bedi from Narwana (SC).
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday filed his nomination as BJP candidate from the Ladwa constituency.
Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5, and the last date for filing nominations is September 12. The counting of votes will be held on October 8.
Phogat announced her retirement from wrestling a short while after she was disqualified from the Paris Olympic Games after being found overweight by about 100 gm in her 50-kg category weigh-in.
In 2019 assembly polls, BJP became the single-largest party with 40 seats and Congress won 30 seats.
