"BJP is Team India; Congress are Team Pakistan": BJP's Bandi Sanjay Kumar on MLC elections

Karimnagar (Telangana) [India] February 25 : Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, drew an analogy between the upcoming MLC elections in Telangana and the cricket match between India and Pakistan.
Speaking at a press briefing, Kumar emphasized the significance of the elections, urging voters to choose BJP for a bright future.
"Recently, there was a cricket match between India and Pakistan. Just like our cricketers met the hopes of the cricket fans, BJP will win the MLC elections and fulfill the hopes of the graduates and teachers," Kumar said, drawing a parallel between the sporting rivalry and political contest.
He further stated, "On 27th February, a match is happening. BJP is Team India. They (Congress) are Team Pakistan. The voters should think about this. If you vote for us, Team India, we will win. If you want Team Pakistan to win, vote for them. Think about who will fulfill your dreams and then vote."
The Union Minister concluded by stressing that in the political match on February 27, the people should give a chance to BJP and defeat Congress, calling on voters to trust the BJP to meet their aspirations.
Meanwhile, Telangana Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy has appealed to graduate voters to ensure the victory of Congress candidate Narender Reddy in the upcoming MLC elections for the Karimnagar-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Medak constituency.
Addressing a public meeting in Karimnagar on Monday, Uttam Kumar Reddy achievements of the Congress government in employment generation and regional development.
He said that within just one year of coming to power, the Congress government had filled 55,000 government posts, including 11,000 teaching positions. He noted that employees were now receiving salaries on time, a significant change under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has scheduled MLC elections in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for February 27, from 8 AM to 4 PM, while the counting will be conducted on March 3.
