BJP meeting on Haryana Assembly polls underway at party headquarters in New Delhi

New Delhi [India], September 2 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) meeting on Haryana Assembly elections underway at the party headquarters in New Delhi.
The meeting is also being attended by senior party leaders, including the party's national president, JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and MP Biplab Deb.
Surendra Nagar, Mohanlal Badoli, Rao Inderjit Singh, and state organisation general secretary Phanindranath Sharma.
According to a state source, "The meeting is to discuss the seat area-wise where the BJP needs to field the candidates so that it can give a good fight to the other in opposition. Leaders are giving presentations and details on their respected areas and nearby and giving suggestions on names."
Earlier today, BJP Haryana state president Mohan Lal Badoli commented on the ongoing preparations to choose the candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections on Monday. He said that suggestions from every level of the party is being taken, after which the central leadership will be taking a decision.
While speaking to journalists, he said, "There was a long list; everyone is being surveyed. Feedback is being taken from below. After that, the central leadership will make the final decision."
Earlier in the day, former Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) leaders Devender Singh Babli, Sunil Sangwan, Sanjay Kablana also joined the BJP. They were welcomed by the National General Secretary of BJP, Arun Singh and Haryana BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli
On August 31, the Election Commission of India (ECI) revised the polling day for Haryana Assembly polls from October 1 to October 5, as well as moved the counting of votes for both Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana assemblies from October 4 to October 8.
