New Delhi [India], August 30 : The leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Vijendar Gupta, and other BJP MLAs are meeting with President Droupadi Murmu to discuss concerns about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's imprisonment and its impact.
He will be meeting with President Droupadi Murmu on August 30 at 5 p.m. to present a memorandum about the constitutional crisis in the capital caused by the imprisonment of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The delegation will include MLAs Mohan Singh Bisht, Om Prakash Sharma, Ajay Mahawar, Abhay Verma, Anil Bajpai, Jitender Mahajan, Kartar Singh Tanwar, and the former Delhi Minister Rajkumar Anand.
They claim Kejriwal's government is corrupt, and the city's administration has collapsed, leading to a crisis exacerbated by monsoon rains and frequent accidents.
The memorandum they're presenting will also highlight issues like the non-formation of the Sixth Delhi Finance Commission and the failure to present the Comptroller and Auditor General of India report in the House
Vijender Gupta stated that "Kejriwal government in Delhi is engulfed in corruption, and the city's administrative system has collapsed. The monsoon rains have created a flood-like situation, putting the residents of Delhi in a severe crisis. The government has been utterly ineffective in preventing the frequent accidents occurring as a result."
After meeting with the President, the Opposition leader will address the media on Friday at 5 pm.
