BJP neither with BRS or Congress; but with people: Union Minister G Kishan Reddy

Rangareddy (Telangana) [India], July 12 : Union Minister G Kishan Reddy attacked the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) which ruled the state till last year, and the ruling Congress party, alleging that both are the same and their party leaders keep jumping ship from one another whenever the other party comes to power.
He further said that BJP is with neither with BRS nor with the Congress and is instead with the people.
The Union Minister for Coal and Mines was speaking at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Executive meeting in Telangana's Rangareddy on Friday.
"BRS and Congress are one. They have made alliances earlier also. We saw leaders jumping from Congress to BRS earlier. Now we see vice versa. Congress is acting now just like BRS acted while they were in power. Whoever wins in BRS joins Congress and whoever wins in Congress joins BRS. There is no difference between Gandhi Bhavan and Telangana Bhavan. Both parties support family rule," Reddy said.
"We are neither with BRS nor Congress, we are with the people," he asserted.
Reddy further alleged that the Congress government is "looting" people in the state today just like the BRS used to "loot" during its tenure.
"In the rule of BRS, there was only development of family and not that of Telangana. There was land mafia, liquor mafia, drug mafia and others. Earlier, BRS looted and today, Congress is looting," the state BJP chief said.
Reddy said that the Congress-ruled Telangana government is facing the "highest anti-incumbency" in the country and people have lost faith in them.
"Congress lost people's faith in the short period that they came to power. They promised to implement their promises in 100 days. But 200 days have crossed. They made many declarations during elections. Telangana Congress government is facing the highest anti-incumbency in the entire country within such a short time. There are protests everywhere. There is a lathi charge everywhere. We see how the police are behaving. The Congress is focussing on sending suitcases to Delhi," Reddy said.
The Union Minister accused both parties of "bowing down" to the Asaduddin Owaisi-led All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and working on its "clutches."
"Both the parties work on the clutches of AIMIM. Earlier, BRS bowed down before AIMIM, today, Congress is doing the same. BRS or Congress do not have the moral right to criticize BJP. AIMIM MP gave the 'Jai Palestine' slogan while taking his oath in Parliament. AIMIM and Congress should be ashamed. The people of Telangana have understood how secular you are," Reddy said.
The Telangana BJP chief said that though Rahul Gandhi speaks about the Constitution, the Congress government is "insulting" people's mandate in the state.
"Though Rahul Gandhi keeps talking about the Constitution, we see in Telangana, how CM Revanth Reddy is dragging the Constitution on the road, and how they are insulting the mandate of the people," Reddy said.
He further said that BJP workers faced a lot of trouble, threats and attacks in the state, but they went on to win eight seats in the assembly polls.
Speaking about the struggle faced by his party workers when the BRS was in power in the state, Reddy said that this has led the BJP to win eight seats in the Telangana Assembly polls.
"BRS and KCR ruled Telangana for 10 years, our people were troubled a lot. BJP karyakartas struggled a lot, they threatened us, they tried to attack us, but we kept on fighting against the corrupt family rule of KCR. Because of our struggle, we won eight seats in the Assembly elections," Reddy said.
On the BJP's poll performance in Telangana in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls, Reddy said, "We won a good voting percentage in the Lok Sabha elections. We also won more seats in the Lok Sabha elections as compared to the previous year. Our Kamareddy MLA Vankat Ramana Reddy defeated KCR and Revanth Reddy. Eatala Rajender won in Malkajgiri parliament constituency and defeated Congress, even though it was earlier represented by Revanth Reddy."
Reddy said the BJP managed to win eight states despite the "false claims" spread by the Congress party that the BJP would change the Constitution and end reservations if they returned to power.
"In the elections, Congress misguided the people that BJP and BRS are together. They gave false promises to the people. They spread false news that BJP will change the Constitution and remove reservations. However, because of the consistent effort of our karyakartas, we won 8 seats in Parliament elections," he said.
The BJP State Executive Meeting was organised at the Mallika Convention in Hyderabad's Shamshabad and was presided over by Union Minister G Kishan Reddy. Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan was the chief guest.
BJP OBC Morcha National President and BJP Parliamentary Board Member K Laxman, BJP National Vice President DK Aruna, BJP National General Secretary and Union Minister of State of Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar and other BJP leaders also attended the meeting.
