BJP will win all seven seats in Delhi: Ramdas Athawale

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 24 : The Republican Party of India (Athawale) national president and Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Friday expressed confidence in its ally BJP's victory in the Lok Sabha election in Delhi saying despite, Congress and AAP forming an alliance, BJP will win all seven seats in Delhi.
"In 2014 and 2019 elections, BJP won all seven seats in Delhi...Despite, Congress and AAP forming an alliance, BJP will win all seven seats in Delhi," Athawale said.
Delhi will vote in a single phase on all seven Lok Sabha seats on May 25, with a fierce contest between the BJP and the INDIA bloc, comprising the AAP and Congress. The counting of votes and declaration of results will be done on June 4.
The Aam Aadmi Party joined hands with the Congress to contest Lok Sabha polls in the national capital, with the AAP contesting four and the Congress three seats.
The seven parliamentary constituencies in Delhi are Chandni Chowk, East Delhi, New Delhi, North East Delhi, North West Delhi, South Delhi, and West Delhi.
The general elections are being held in seven phases. The first five phases were held on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13 and May 20 while the subsequent phases are scheduled on May 25, and June 1. Votes will be counted on June 4.
While the Bharatiya Janata Party, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is seeking a third straight term in power, the Opposition INDIA bloc is aiming to form its government at the Centre.
Voters in eight states and Union Territories will participate in the sixth phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections on Saturday, May 25. Voting will be held in a total of 57 Lok Sabha constituencies.
In the sixth phase, voting will take place in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Jammu and Kashmir.
