"BJP will win in Jammu Kashmir Assembly Election": Union Min Ramdas Athawale

New Delhi [India], September 25 : Union Minister Ramdas Athawale expressed confidence that his party will win the Jammu and Kashmir assembly election with a full majority and form the government.
"I believe that the high voter turnout is a very good sign. With the efforts of PM Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah, terrorism has been reduced in J&K, and I am confident that the BJP will emerge victorious in these elections." He said.
He further said, "J&K is progressing towards development, and I am fully confident that a BJP government will be formed there."
He also said that large number of people came out of their homes to participate in election and were elated with higher voter turnout.
"The high voter turnout in all these locations is truly inspiring. It's amazing to see the enthusiasm and hope in people's eyes." he said.
He also said visuals through news reports show that this time woman are also enthusiastically participating in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly election.
Voting for the second phase of Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir began at 7 am on Wednesday. Over 25 lakh eligible voters will seal the fate of 239 candidates across 26 constituencies in six districts of the Union Territory.
Among the prominent candidates are former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah from both Budgam and Ganderbal seats, Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief Ravinder Raina from Nowshera assembly seat, and Pradesh Congress Committee president Tariq Hamid Karra from Central-Shalteng seat.
The seats on which elections are being conducted are Kangan (ST), Ganderbal, Hazratbal, Khanyar, Habbakadal, Lal Chowk, Channapora, Zadibal, Eidgah, Central Shalteng, Budgam, Beerwah, Khansahib, Chrar-i-Sharief, Chadoora and Gulabgarh (ST), Reasi, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Kalakote - Sunderbani, Nowshera, Rajouri (ST), Budhal (ST), Thannamandi (ST), Surankote (ST), Poonch Haveli and Mendhar (ST).
