Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 25 : Taking a jibe at Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Samajwadi Party leader Dimple Yadav who will be visiting Varanasi, Minister in Uttar Pradesh government Ravindra Jaiswal said the duo should also visit 'Tehkhana' in Gyanvapi complex and should have a glimpse of a God's idol present in the basement.
Priyanka and Dimple Yadav will hold a joint road show in Varanasi on Saturday in support of INDIA bloc candidate Ajay Rai.
"I came to know that both of them will go for Darshan also. They should definitely go. I want to ask them to go to the Vishwanath Temple and also visit the Gyanvapi 'Tehkhana' where an idol of God is placed, they should have a glimpse of it," he said.
"If they do the Darshan of the 'Tehkhana' that was opened at the orders of the court, maybe they will get some auspiciousness. They did not go to Ayodhya and they did not come to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple before this, but they went to a criminal's house. Both husband and wife, Akhilesh and Dimple Yadav went there to read 'Fatiha'. They could go from Lucknow to Gazipur but they never went to Ayodhya... They are coming here to misguide the followers of Sanatana," he added.
Further predicting of BJP's win in the state Jaiswal said that BJP will be winning 80 out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh.
"The way people are inclined, I can say that the BJP will win 80 out of 80 in Uttar Pradesh... The people are standing with PM Modi in his resolution to develop the country... They (Opposition) want to snatch the OBC reservation 'Khata Khat' and give it to Muslims," he said.
"This is a crime. BJP will stop this 'Khata Khat' when it comes to power...", he said.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi a two-time MP from Varanasi is also BJP's candidate from the seat making it a high-profile contest.
Winning the seat with a resounding majority in 2014 and 2019, he is seeking a third straight win from the seat.
The voting here will be held in the last phase of Lok Sabha elections on June 1. The counting of votes will take place on June 4. In the 2019 elections, BJP won 62 seats and it's ally Apna Dal won 2 seats in the state.
This time under seat-sharing agreement, the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress are contesting 80 parliamentary seats in Uttar Pradesh in 63:17 proportion.
