New Delhi [India], July 24 : The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha is set to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas with a slew of nationwide tributes celebrating the valour of the Indian armed forces personnel.
On July 26, 1999, the Indian Army secured a triumphant victory over Pakistan in the Kargil conflict by heroically reclaiming our nation's sovereignty with unwavering courage and sacrifice. This Friday, BJYM will observe the silver jubilee of this momentous triumph.
The BJYM, under the guidance of BJYM National President Tejasvi Surya, has lined up a series of events to mark the occasion, according to a press release issued by the organisation
A grand nationwide Mashal Rally is scheduled for July 25 spanning every organisational district, with a minimum of 2,500 dynamic young individuals set to participate in each district.
The Mashal Rally will commence at symbolic sites such as the homes of Kargil martyrs, Kargil veterans, and war memorials. The choice of these starting points is a tribute to the courage and sacrifice of our heroes.
In each district, the Mashal Rally will culminate in the lighting of a 'Vijay Deep' at a prominent location. This symbolic lamp will remain lit for 25 hours, from the evening of July 25 to the evening of July 26, to commemorate 25 years of Vijay Diwas and honor the ultimate sacrifice made by brave soldiers.
A major highlight of the celebrations will be the presence of BJP National President JP Nadda at a significant event in New Delhi, where he will participate in the Mashal Rally at India Gate alongside BJYM National President Tejasvi Surya, said BJYM.
This gesture underscores the party's profound respect and admiration for the sacrifices made by brave soldiers.
The celebrations will culminate in a public programme on the evening of July 26 at the 'Vijay Deep' location, where Kargil veterans will be honored by BJYM Karyakartas, recognising their bravery and selflessness.
The programme will feature cultural performances and motivational speeches by retired army officers and prominent public figures, celebrating the spirit of patriotism and valour.
National President of BJP Yuva Morcha Tejasvi Surya has urged all BJYM Karyakartas to organise these events with dedication and respect as a tribute to the valour of the Indian Army. "Kargil Vijay Diwas is a day of immense pride for the entire country," he said. "These celebrations will go a long way in igniting the spirit of nationalism among the youth and will also develop a deep sense of pride and gratitude towards our armed forces.
In addition to the participation of youth across the country, several cabinet ministers will also be present at these events, lending their support and honouring the memories of the heroes of Kargil.
