Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan) [India], July 8 : Rajasthan Education Minister and BJP leader, Madan Dilawar, on Sunday targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying that according to Chanakya, a child born to a foreign woman can never do any good for the country. Therefore, Rahul Gandhi is doing the same by speaking against the nation.
"Chanakya had said that the one born from the womb of a foreign woman cannot do any good for the country but rather will get things done against the country. And what Chanakya ji said is coming true. Rahul Gandhi is the son of a foreign woman, that is why he constantly speaks against the country and the nation," Dilawar said.
Dilawar also attacked Rahul Gandhi over his Hindu remark, saying that "Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has called the people of the entire country violent and liars. I think there cannot be a bigger insult to the entire India and all the Hindus than this."
Rahul Gandhi's maiden speech in Lok Sabha as Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha generated a lot of political heat, with BJP leaders accusing him "of speaking lies, misleading the House and terming the entire Hindu community violent." The Congress hitting back with counter-allegations against the Modi government.
Meanwhile, Reacting to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's remarks that the party "will defeat BJP in Gujarat like we did defeat them in Ayodhya", Bharatiya Janata Party national spokesperson and MP Sudhanshu Trivedi suggested the latter leave the "arrogance", adding that he should talk about religious issues with simplicity, honesty and modesty.
Earlier on July 6, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that Congress and its allies in the INDIA bloc would defeat the BJP in Gujarat assembly polls like they had defeated it in Ayodhya in the Lok Sabha polls.
"Talk about religious things with sensitivity, with respect and dignity. I'll say, leave your arrogance and talk about religious issues with simplicity, honesty and modesty," Trivedi said on Sunday.
"As a LoP, he (Rahul Gandhi) is free to raise any issue in the parliament. But, I would like to say to him that he is not only in the opposition, they (Congress) are in government in many states, show by performing there. When we were in opposition, we had shown the Gujarat model by acting," he added.
