BSF apprehends three narco-smugglers with heroin in Amritsar

Amritsar (Punjab) [India], October 30 : The Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended three narco-smugglers in Amritsar, seizing heroin in an operation on October 29, as reported in a BSF press release on Wednesday.
According to the release, acting on reliable intelligence about the movement of narco-smugglers in the border area of Amritsar on the evening of October 29, BSF troops quickly set up an ambush in the designated area.
The BSF ambush team observed three suspects on a motorcycle, appearing to search for something. They strategically approached and successfully apprehended all three smugglers, recovering one packet of suspected heroin weighing 530 grams at around 7:05 p.m. Additionally, two smartphones, a motorcycle, and Indian currency worth Rs 180 were seized from their possession.
The apprehension occurred near the village of Roranwala Khurd in Amritsar district, according to the BSF.
The smugglers, identified as residents of Roranwala Khurd and Attari in Amritsar, have been handed over to the local police for further investigation into their connections with Pakistan-based narco-syndicates.
