BSF recovers China-made drone from Amritsar

Amritsar (Punjab) [India], June 19 : Based on information from the Border Security Force (BSF) Intelligence wing about the presence of a drone in the border area of Amristar, BSF troops on Wednesday carried out an intensive search operation at the area successfully recovering a drone from the area adjacent to the village Rattankhurd in Amritsar District, said officials.
According to the officials, after getting the intelligence information BSF Troops quickly rushed towards the spot to conduct the operation, the search was conducted around 11:05 in the morning.
BSF has identified the drone as a China-made DJI MAVIC 3 classic.

Reliable information by the intelligence and swift action of BSF Troops once again thwarted another attempt of drone intrusion in Punjab from across the border.
Earlier on May 5, the troops of the Border Security Forces (BSF) recovered a damaged China-made drone with a packet of Heroin in Punjab's Tarn Taran District.
"On 4th May 2024, at about 10:00 am, while performing duty ahead of the border fence in the border area of district Tarn Taran, vigilant BSF troops observed something suspicious in a harvested field, which on reaching nearby turned to be a drone along with a packet of suspected heroin," the BSF said in a statement.
"The drone along with 01 packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 416 grams) wrapped with yellow coloured adhesive tape was immediately seized. This recovery took place in a harvested field nearby Village Kalash in district Tarn Taran," the BSF added.
