"Canadian govt should take strict measures to protect all religious places": RSS leader Indresh Kumar after attack on temple

Hapur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], November 4 : Condemning the recent attack on a Hindu temple in Canada, Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar said on Monday that the incident is "Unfortunate" and "inhuman" and the Canadian government should take strict measures to protect all religious places so that such incidents do not happen again.
Speaking to ANI, the RSS leader also mentioned that the Sikh community living anywhere in the world will condemn this incident.
"The attack on the temple in Canada is unfortunate and inhuman. I am sure that not only the Sikh community of India but the entire world will condemn this and take action to ensure that such incidents do not happen in future. Khalsa was created to protect the religion and not to harm it," he said.
"The Canadian government should also take strict measures to protect all religious places so that such incidents do not happen again," Indresh Kumar added.
Notably, a violent group of men, carrying flags of pro-Khalistani groups had attacked a Hindu Sabha Mandir on Gore Road in Canada's Brampton on Sunday.
India strongly condemned the violent disruption at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, where an Indian consular camp was attacked on Sunday.
In response to media queries regarding violence in Brampton, Canada, the Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Randhir Jaiswal said, "We condemn the acts of violence perpetrated by extremists and separatists at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, Ontario yesterday."
"We call on the Government of Canada to ensure that all places of worship are protected from such attacks. We also expect that those indulging in violence will be prosecuted. We remain deeply concerned about the safety and security of Indian nationals in Canada," the statement added.
According to the MEA, "The outreach of our Consular officers to provide services to Indians and Canadian citizens alike will not be deterred by intimidation, harassment and violence."
The incident sparked widespread criticism in and outside Canada. Canadian opposition leader Pierre Poilievre condemned the attack on the Hindu Sabha temple, calling it "completely unacceptable."
Canadian Member of Parliament Chandra Arya also condemned the attack on the temple and said that a "red line has been crossed" by Khalistani extremists, highlighting the rise of brazen violent extremism in Canada.
