Chennai: 'Heritage Rollers 2023' showcases vintage cars from all over country

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], August 27 : Chennai witnessed a unique car collection at the 'Heritage Rollers 2023' which showcased all vintage cars from different parts of the country.
Rolls Royce, Volvo, Chevrolet to Bentley vintage cars were lined up at the Chennai vintage car show and spectators were amused to see different types of cars rolled out. The exhibition revived the memories of the elders, for youths, it was craze, for kids it was learning.
Different types of vintage cars were lined up in the 'Car Show' at Hotel Turyaa, OMR, Chennai organized by the Historical Cars Association of India along with the support of Greater Chennai Traffic Police.
Car collectors mentioned that even though it was an expensive hobby, passion was the reason behind this craze to keep the cars live on track.
"Cars from all over India Delhi, Mumbai are here and it is a big event. All the big collectors are gathered here. We also hosting a rally from Chennai to Pondicherry tomorrow morning. I brought a 1960 Impala and Chevrolet Suburban car and I drove from Coimbatore to Chennai and we would drive them back," added Abinandhan, car collector.
Spectators said that they were so excited and amazed to see the vintage car collection.
"I am familiar with vintage and classic cars. The collection is amazing. I got to speak with the owner of Juguar and his nostalgic memories were so amazing. I have fancy for convertible cars and everything is an engineering marvel when it is from the previous era and very great to see them," said a visitor named Kadhar.
Another visitor named Susashini said that this was the first time she was attending this. "They are saying that the cars belong to the old model, but it was a nice experience."
Spectators also added that they were all here to see the engineering marvel of vintage cars as they knew how today's cars were built with technologies.
"68 cars and 20 bikes are showcased here. Cars from 1926 are showcased here which are all maintained well. Bentley, Rolls Royce, Royal King and very rare model cars are here," said V S Kylas, Secretary of the Historical Cars Association of India.
