Chhattisgarh: Two more held in Raigarh bank robbery case

Raigarh (Chhattisgarh) [India], October 4 : Two more people were held in connection with the bank robbery at Chhattisgarh's Raigarh, police officials said on Tuesday.
Acting promptly, Raigarh police succeeded in arresting five accused persons and recovering the looted valuables.
Earlier on September 19, armed robbers struck at a private bank in Raigarh city in Chhattisgarh and decamped with cash and gold estimated to be worth around Rs 5.62, police said.
The officer further elaborated that the two arrested persons have been identified as Nilesh Kumar alias Nitish Jadhav (25) and Prakash alias Pawan Kumar (28), both natives of Bihar.
“Based on the inputs gathered from the accused persons arrested in connection with the bank robbery, a special team was constituted and dispatched to neighbouring states. With the help of technical inputs coupled with human intelligence, the team succeeded in arresting two more accused persons in the case,” said Raigarh Superintendent of Police (SP) Sadanand Kumar.
"From the possession of arrested accused persons, the police team has recovered a pistol, country-made pistol, live bullets, a knife, two mobile handsets and two motorcycles, which were used in the crime," Raigarh SP said. 
The accused persons were taken into remand and during interrogation, police managed to gather some crucial inputs. 
Further investigation is underway.
