CM Bhupendra Patel pays floral tribute to Mahatama Gandhi at Kirti Mandir

Porbandar (Gujarat) [India], October 2 : Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel offered floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Porbandar Kirti Mandi, the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also participated in Sarvadharma prayer. The CM offered floral tributes to Pujya Bapu and said that due to Pujya Bapu's renunciation, penance and sacrifice, we are getting to taste the sweet fruits of the nectar of freedom.
"Ahimsa is the height of humility. Pujya Bapu's life is the message of non-violence to the whole world. Mahatma Gandhi gave the idea of village upliftment by keeping the people from the outskirts together," the CM said.
"Prime Minister Narendra Bhai Modi has made the mantra of Sarvodaya worthwhile by turning the same Swarajya into Surajya," the CM added.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also empowered the four pillars of a developed India, the poor, farmers, youth and women with the Antyodaya mantra of Pujya Mahatma Gandhi.
"Prayer has another importance in Indian culture. Pujya Mahatma Gandhi used to say that prayer is the food of the soul and prayer is very necessary for self-realization. He also said that people from all over the world come to Kirti Mandir and get new strength through the prayers of all religions," the CM said.
The Chief Minister also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi started Swachh Bharat Mission 10 years ago to imbibe the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi which reached every door in the country and inspired us to make cleanliness our nature.
"Cleanliness is a work of public participation and we have made it worthwhile," the CM said.
The Chief Minister said that we should all commit ourselves to make India developed, advanced and immortal by imbibing the values of Gandhi with the determination of self-reliance, poor welfare and environment-based development.
Union Minister Mansukhbhai Mandaviya saluted Mahatma Gandhi and said that Mahatma Gandhi showed the world that non-violence could be a way to change the state.
"The vision given by Pujya Mahatma Gandhi is being implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to develop the country. Pujya Bapu's vision of non-violence, cleanliness, basic education, economy and endowment and how society should be, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working hard to make the country a developed India. Mahatma Gandhi also told us to go ahead and make India a developed India.," the CM added.
On this occasion, the district in-charge minister Kunwar Bavaliya presented the Charkha to the Chief Minister.
In the Kirti Mandir Sarvadharma prayer meeting, Water Supply Minister and District In-charge Minister Kunwar Bavlia, District Panchayat President Parbat Parmar, MLA Arjun Modhwadia, Municipal President Chetanaben Tiwari, Former Minister Babubhai Bokhiriya, Bhagavatcharya Rameshbhai Ojha, Rear Admiral Satish Basudev, Collector S.D. Dhanani, District Development Officer K. B. Thakkar, Range IG Nilesh Jajdia, District Superintendent of Police Bhagirathsinh Jadeja, Leader Rameshbhai Odedara along with office bearers, officers were present and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
Sarvadharma prayer was presented in a spirited manner by an ensemble of government school teachers.
