Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) [India], May 3 : Former state minister and YSRCP MLA candidate from Bheemunipatnam Assembly seat Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao claimed that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy fulfilled 99 percent of promises made in his 2019 poll manifesto.
"Jagan Mohan Reddy has done many things for the people of Andhra Pradesh. 1.25 crore BPL families received Rs 2.7 lakh crore from Jagan Reddy, irrespective of any religion, caste or party. He brought so many revolutions to the state, like Nadu Nedu for government schools, 1000s of crores spent on hospitals, and six lakh jobs were provided. 99 percent of the promises were fulfilled by Jagan Reddy in his 2019 manifesto. He stands for zero corruption," Srinivasa Rao said.
He stated that CM Jagan Reddy has spent Rs 2,250 crores for welfare and development schemes in Bheemili Assembly seat.
"Bheemili is the second-oldest municipality in the country. It holds historical and touristic significance in the state. The people of Bhimili are ready to extend their support to the YSRCP. Bhimili constituency is the IT destination for the state. Jagan Reddy has spent Rs 2,250 crores for welfare and development schemes in my constituency for the last five years," he added.
The former state minister said that once Visakhapatnam becomes the capital, the majority of the industry will come to Visakhapatnam and create employment for local youth.
"Education institutions will be established in Visakhapatnam. People have lost faith in Chandrababu Naidu. People don't care about the manifesto of TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu. He made many promises during the 2014 elections. Single promise hasn't been fulfilled between 2014 and 2019. He failed to create jobs and failed to give DWCRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Area) loan waves for women," he added.
He remarked that common people get easy access to politicians in the YSRCP rule.
"Other side Jagan Reddy did whatever he promised during 2019-2024. He is a practical person. Common people can easily approach government officials or politicians in the YSRCP government. Jagan Reddy decentralised the development," he added.
Jagan Mohan Reddy has promised to gradually hike welfare pensions from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,500 per month and govern the state from Visakhapatnam.
"Immediately after YSRCP forms the government in 2024, Visakhapatnam will be made the executive capital as the seat of the government. It will be developed as the growth engine for the state," the Andhra CM said, adding that Amaravati will be developed as the legislative capital and Kurnool as the judicial capital.
The Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh will be held on May 13.
In the 2019 Assembly elections, the YSRCP won with a thumping majority of 151 seats, while the TDP was confined to 23 seats. In the Lok Sabha polls, the YSRCP won 22 seats, while the TDP could only win three seats.
