CM Saha thanks Centre for "standing shoulder-to-shoulder" with Tripura in flood crisis

Agartala (Tripura) [India], August 24 : Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed gratitude to the central government on Friday for "standing shoulder to shoulder" as the state continues to grapple with severe flooding.
In a post on X, CM Saha expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the people of Tripura, thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the central government for their prompt action and unwavering commitment during this challenging time.
"Gratitude to PM Narendra Modi & Union Home Minister Amit Shah for standing shoulder to shoulder with the people of Tripura in this difficult time. Thank you," the post mentioned.
According to officials, the central government swiftly responded to the devastating floods in Tripura with significant assistance, demonstrating unwavering commitment to the state's people. Chief Minister Manik Saha has been closely coordinating relief efforts, maintaining constant communication with Union authorities to ensure effective crisis management. Union Home Minister Amit Shah coordinated the relief efforts, facilitated mobilizing resources and has been constantly monitoring the situation along with the state administration.
The Centre has sanctioned Rs 40 crore for the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to expedite relief work. Additionally, 11 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Three Indian Army columns and Four helicopters of the Indian Air Force have been deployed to provide critical assistance in rescue and relief operations in the state.
