Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India], November 11 : Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad on Monday took a jibe at Yogi Adityanath stating that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has been for the past one month unable to come up with any statements against the Samajwadi Party and the PDA (Pichhde, Dalit, and Alpsankhyak) as he is apprehensive of them.
This remarks came after Adityanath targetted the Akhilesh Yadav-led party of having become a "production house of criminals and mafia" accusing it of spreading anarchy and violence against weaker sections of the society.
"For a month now, CM Yogi Adityanath has been in such fear of SP and PDA that he is unable to think that what statement he can make about us. The truth is that to protect the fundamental rights as provided by Babasaheb Ambedkar's Constitution, Samajwadi Party has always been fighting," Prasad told ANI.
The Samajwadi MP further alleged that BJP intended to scrap the provisions of Constitution and reservation while the the SP and PDA were interested in public issues, dignity of people and development of the state and country.
Prasad said, "BJP intends to scrap the Constitution's provisions, scrap reservation. Those intentions won't succeed. PDA is fully prepared for that. Maybe that is why, the CM makes absurd statements on Samajwadi Party. But only SP and PDA are the ones in the state that think about public issues, dignity of people and development of the state & country. CM doesn't think about the collapse of law & order and jungle raj that have occurred due to BJP's double-engine government. He doesn't have the intentions to think about this. So, I would like to urge him to speak by adhering to the conduct of a Chief Minister, of a sadhu."
On Sunday, CM Yogi while addressing a public rally in Majhwan, said, "SP has become the production house of the mafia and criminals. Akhilesh Yadav (national president of SP) is the CEO of these criminals and Shivpal Yadav (SP leader) is their trainer."
"These mafia and criminals are there to usurp people's wealth. They intend to harm the weaker sections and violate the dignity of women," he added.
As bye-elections nears in the state, the political battle between the two parties have intensified. Nine Assembly seats including Sisamau in Kanpur, Katehri in Ambedkar Nagar, Kundarki in Moradabad, Ghaziabad in Ghaziabad, Majhwan in Mirzapur, Karhal in Mainpuri district, Khair in Aligarh, Phulpur in Prayagraj and Meerapur in Muzaffarnagar district are going for byelections on November 20. The votes will be counted on November 23. Samajwadi Party's Awadhesh Prasad.
