Hamirpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 8 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has kicked off its campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, starting with a special meeting for officials in the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur, the star speaker, led the charge, targeting both the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for their alleged shortcomings, particularly corruption. Anurag Thakur launched a scathing attack on the Congress and AAP, accusing them of being "two sides of the same coin" when it comes to corruption.
"Aam Aadmi Party leaders are behind bars on the issue of corruption and Arvind Kejriwal is presenting that corruption is not happening, everyone knows which party has promoted corruption. Arvind Kejriwal is silent on the corruption of Congress and Congress is silent on the corruption of Arvind Kejriwal. Congress, Aam Aadmi Party--two thieves are now coming together as cousins," said Union Minister Anurag Thakur.
"The Bharatiya Janata Party fights every election with full strength and in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, various guidelines will also be given to the party office bearer of parliamentary constituencies today. The Modi government at the Centre will set records in the upcoming elections and hoist its flag on more than 400 seats," added the Union Minister.
Thakur countered Congress President Mallikajun Kharge's criticism of the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, stating that the Modi government has launched numerous public welfare schemes during its tenure, benefiting the general public. He went on to claim that the BJP has achieved in its years what the Congress couldn't in 70 years.
Expressing confidence in the BJP's chances in the upcoming elections, Anurag Thakur said that the party will set records and win over 400 seats. He emphasized that the BJP fights every election with full force and will continue to work for the betterment of the country.
