Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], September 11 : Rajasthan Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas on Monday said that it is his personal opinion that in the coming assembly elections, the Rajasthan Congress does not need alliance with any other party, but the final decision has to be taken by the party high command.
"Congress does not need any alliance in the upcoming elections in Rajasthan. This is my personal opinion and the final decision will be taken by the party high command, " said Khachariyawas.
Khachariyawas said there seems to be support for the party in the state.
"The winds are in favour of Congress. All the senior leaders of the party will have to gauge the public opinion and figure out what the public thinks," he said.
Khachariyawas cautioned that the BJP is a master in conspiring and Congress leaders will have to combat the lies and deception of the BJP aggressively.
On the discussions about Congress leader Jyoti Mirdha joining BJP, he said anyone leaving Congress will not affect the party as this is election time and people come and go during this time.
"Jyoti Mirdha won the elections on the Congress banner. She has a political family background but did not work as hard in politics as Hanuman Beniwal did,” said Khachariyawas comparing Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) MP Hanuman Beniwal with Jyoti Mirdha.
On DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin's controversial statement on Sanatan Dharma, Khachariyawas said the power of those who are challenging Sanatan Dharma will be challenged.
He said the Congress respects every religion and sect, and CM MK Stalin should apologize publicly for it.
