Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], April 20 : Rakesh Jamwal, the BJP's chief spokesperson, alleged that the Congress party is a "sinking ship" and the leaders are leaving the grand old party.
"Due to the policies of the Congress, leaders are leaving the Congress and joining the BJP," Rakesh Jamwal said.
While addressing the media in Shimla, Jamwal said, "Today, AICC Secretary Tajinder Bittu joined the BJP. The BJP has declared its candidates, while Congress is not able to select them."
"There is a lot of contradiction in the statements of Congress leaders. The Chief Minister is saying that he has not received help from the Centre, on the contrary, the PWD Minister is saying that he has brought help from the Centre," he remarked.
"In these 15 months, Congress has given only false guarantees. It is not understood what has been achieved by the government in 15 months," Jamwal said.
While targeting the Congress candidate from Mandi Vikramaditya Singh, Rakesh Jamwal said, "He talks big that after winning from Mandi, he will raise public issues at the Centre, but first he should reveal the secret as to why he resigned from the ministerial post. This is a mystery. It remains a mystery till date. Even Pratibha Singh refused to contest the elections. Pratibha Singh had said in her statement that the workers are angry and elections cannot be contested with MP funds."
"The way Vikramaditya is commenting on Mandi BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut about what she eats and what she wears, he should also realise that Vikramaditya Singh has inherited politics and not through struggle, whereas Kangana has gotten politics through struggle," he said.
He said that Vikramaditya Singh should contest elections on issues instead of making personal remarks.
