Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], June 3 : Chhattisgarh BJP President Kiran Singh Deo on Monday took a jibe at Congress for claiming to win 295 seats and said that the party never trusted the constitutional institutions and the reason behind their statements is to create an "unstable atmosphere" in the country.
While speaking with ANI on the statement of the INDIA alliance saying that they will win 295 seats, Kiran Singh Deo said, "They have nothing to say apart from this... The whole nation is saying 'Phir ek baar, Modi Sarkar' and 'Abki baar, 400 paar.' Kal parinam aa jayega aur doodh ka doodh, paani ka paani ho jayega."
On being asked about Rahul Gandhi's claims that this is not exit polls but "Modi Media polls", Deo said, "He is in anger and yesterday, I saw his statement. On a national level, he is talking about Siddhu Moosewala's '295 track' and this shows that he is in anger and frustration. I have been saying since the beginning that Congress never trusted the constitutional bodies, and their statements until the last day of polling in Lok Sabha elections were aimed towards creating an unstable atmosphere in the country."
Stepping up his attacks on Congress, the Chhattisgarh BJP President asserted that the party doesn't find any fault in EVMs from the places from where they have secured victory.
"The places from where they win, are EVMs okay there? They formed a government in Telangana, Karnataka, and during that time, the EVMs were okay. The EVMs are fine in the places from where they win but they blame EVMs in places where people reject them. They blame the Election Commission and courts as well. The public now understands this is the reason that Congress is now shrinking in the country," he added.
On Jairam Ramesh's statement that he doesn't trust the working of EC, Kiran Singh Deo criticised the Congress and said that the party in its rule of about five decades gave nothing except corruption and atrocity.
He said, "They should first see their party. In the past when their government was in power for about five decades, what did they give to the country apart from corruption and atrocity."
He added further, "And now, for the past 10 years, PM Modi is transparently running the government... India's economic condition, GDP growth, infrastructure development, and welfare schemes for the poor, everything is going well." The ones who haven't done anything for the country wil say anything in their frustration about the Constitutional institutions. When they are moving towards defeat, then everything seems bad to them."
The exit polls on Sunday predicted a landslide victory for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the LS polls. The exit polls predicted that the ruling BJP-led NDA is poised to improve its performance over its 2019 record when it won 352 seats. Two polls predicted the BJP also improving its numbers from the 303 seats it won in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
While the BJP leaders rejoiced about the poll predictions, several INDIA bloc leaders rubbished the same and expressed confidence that it would secure over 295 seats in the polls.
If the exit poll predictions come true on June 4 when votes are counted, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will become the only PM after Jawaharlal Nehru to win three successive terms in Lok Sabha polls. The exit polls predicted 'Modi 3.0' with PM Modi having led the BJP's poll effort through rallies and roadshows in various parts of the country.
