"Congress party not against Allu Arjun" says Lok Sabha MP Mallu Ravi on arrest of Pushpa 2 star

New Delhi [India], December 13 : Congress MP Mallu Ravi on Friday stated that the Congress party does not hold any animosity against actor Allu Arjun, who was arrested in connection with a stampede at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad and later granted bail by the Telangana High Court.
Ravi emphasised that the Telangana government is acting solely to maintain law and order and bears "no personal grudge" against the actor.
Speaking to ANI, Ravi said, "Under the government led by the Congress party and Revanth Reddy, his arrest was carried out as per the law. What do they want? This action was taken solely to ensure law and order is maintained. The Congress party is not against Allu Arjun. We are acting according to the law, in the larger interest of the people, to uphold law and order. There is no personal grudge."
The Telangana High Court granted interim bail to actor Allu Arjun hours after he was remanded to 14-day judicial custody by a lower court in connection with the death of a woman at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4.
Advocate Karam Komireddy, representing the Sandhya Theatre management, confirmed the interim bail granted to Allu Arjun in the case.
"Allu Arjun has been granted interim bail for a period of four weeks. He shall execute a personal bond of Rs50,000 with the Superintendent of Chanchalguda Central Jail. Thereafter, he will be released on bail," Komireddy said.
"We appeared on behalf of the management of Sandhya Theatre and filed a quash petition before the High Court. The court has directed the police not to arrest members of the management who have not yet been detained. Two owners of Sandhya Theatre, who had been arrested, were also ordered to be released on interim bail," he added.
Telugu cinema star Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in connection with the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre on December 4 during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule.
The incident resulted in the death of 35-year-old Revathi and injuries to her son, prompting a police investigation that led to the arrests of three individuals and, subsequently, the actor.
