Jhajjar (Haryana) [India], May 20 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah took a dig at the Congress and said that after Lok Sabha elections Congress will have to embark on a 'Congress Dhundo Yatra' as the party would not be seen even with a "binocular" after polls.
Addressing a public rally in Jhajjar, Haryana, the Union Home Minister said that Congress spreading lies that if BJP gets the majority, the reservation will be scrapped.
"Congress spreading lies that if BJP gets the majority, the reservation will be scrapped. Till the time BJP is in Parliament no one will be able to touch the reservation. Rahul Gandhi at the start of this election started the Bharat Jodo Yatra and by the election ends it will be 'Congress Dhundo Yatra'. Congress can't be seen even with the help of binoculars after Lok Sabha elections," Shah said.
He further claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already crossed 270 seats in the four phases of the General Elections while Congress and Rahul Gandhi are struggling to win even 40 seats.
"Four phases of voting have been completed, in these four phases Modi ji has crossed 270 and is moving towards 400, whereas Rahul Baba is not even crossing 40. On one side, there is Narendra Modi who protects reservation and on the other side, there is Congress party which snatches away the reservation of SC-ST and OBC and gives reservation to Muslims," he added.
The Union Minister said that Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) belongs to India and the nation will take it back.
"In 2019, you formed Modi Ji's government. In five years, the court's verdict also came, Bhoomi Pujan was also done and on 22 January, Modi Ji did the Pran Pratishtha of Shri Ram Lalla. The Congress party had been holding on to Article 370 for so many years in its greed for vote bank. Modi ji worked to free Kashmir from terrorism by abolishing Article 370 on August 5, 2019. PoK is ours, will be ours and we will take it back," he said.
Rohtak is one of the 10 Lok Sabha constituencies in Haryana, encompassing the entire Rohtak and Jhajjar districts and parts of the Rewari district.
The voting for the Rohtak Lok Sabha Constituency will be held on May 25 in the sixth phase of the elections.
